QUEZON City, Philippines – A television news anchor, a leftist leader and two former generals of the Armed Forces of the Philippines were named as new members of the Cabinet of incoming President Rodrigo Duterte. Duterte announced that his chief aide Christopher Bong Go will become the head of the Presidential Management Staff while TV news anchor Martin Andanar will be the head of the Presidential Communications Operations Office. Former general Edgar Galvante will be the new Land Transportation Office while former Anakpawis representative Joel Maglunsod will be the Undersecretary of Labor and Employment. Maglunsod was a former member of the New People’s Army.
