(Eagle News)– President Rodrigo Duterte on Monday (September 27) revealed his plans for a visit to Russia, aside from the trips planned to China and Japan.
“After China, I think I’ll go to Japan and I’ll go to Russia,” Duterte said during a press conference.
At a previous speech during the oath taking rites of new officials of the Malacañan Press Corps, Duterte announced he was willing to open up the country to investments from China and Russia.
According to Duterte, among the sectors that would be opened up for Russian and Chinese investors were telecommunications and commercial aviation.
“May kapital kayo? You want to put up an airline here? Shipping here? You want land? Sixty years plus another 60 years. That is like a lifetime, more than. After 60 years, di mo na kailangan ‘yan factory mo,” he said.
Duterte is set to fly for Vietnam on Wednesday for his official visit upon the invitation of Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyễn Xuân Phúc.
