Duterte: PNP to administer drug war again if illegal drugs proliferate under PDEA

(Eagle News) — President Rodrigo Duterte on Thursday said the administration of the drug war would be back in the hands of the Philippine National Police if the illegal drugs proliferated again in the market.

“Sabi ko, o sige (the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency) nalang. Pag magtaas nanaman, balik nanaman ang pulis. Alangan namang pabayaan ko bayan ko,” he told members of the Filipino community in Vietnam.

He noted that Filipinos “never realized” the country was a “narcopolitics state since about six years ago.”

Mayors, judges, De Lima

“Nakita ko na nagsurrender (ang drug addicts) by the thousands. Yung mga mayor, yung sa TV, wallpaper ng bahay niya, P500 pesos,” he said.

He added  that a judge in Manila had zero convictions out of the over 100,000 drug cases he handled.

Senator Leila de Lima was again mentioned in the rant of the President, who noted her alleged role in the illegal drug trade in the New Bilibid Prison.

“Sabi prisoner of conscience daw. Itong mga b*b* na (European Union), itong bleeding hearts, naniwala nman. Pwede ka ba mag-imbento ng ebidensya na ganun?” he asked.

He noted that he used to be  a prosecutor, and that while his “mouth (was) not good,…certainly I..do not have that kind of system in me.”

“Kung ano lang, what is right, right,” he said.

Callamard, Americans lambasted

As he was wont to do, Duterte also blasted United Nations human rights rapporteur Agnes Callamard, who has accused the President of resorting to extrajudicial killings of drug suspects.

Duterte said she “does not even read the publication of (her) mother organization.”

The UN, after all, he said, came out with a study that discusses the ill effects of shabu, including what he said was the inducement of violent behavior on the part of the user.

“Itong Amerikano na to, le**e, galing sa kanila itong UN, they don’t believe that users of shabu are really fighting persons,” he added.
