(Eagle News)–President Rodrigo Duterte on Thursday, Oct. 4, admitted he had gone to the hospital the day before but only so he could undergo some tests.
In a speech before the Philippine Military Academy, Duterte said he stayed for an hour in the Cardinal Santos Medical Center in San Juan.
“I was about to have a sana ngayong Cabinet meeting yesterday but yung reading ng aking ano, somebody advised my doctor just also to repeat and get some samples there, both dito ulit,” Duterte said.
Earlier, Palace officials denied Duterte had been hospitalized or was sick.
Duterte earlier admitted to undergoing an endoscopy and a colonoscopy but the Palace said these were merely routine tests.
