Duterte wants US Special Forces out of Mindanao

(Eagle News)– President Rodrigo Duterte on Monday (September 12) stressed that United States Special Forces deployed in Mindanao should pack up.

“Kaya iyong mga Special Forces, they have to go. They have to go.  In Mindanao, maraming mga puti roon, they have to go. I-review ko iyang foreign policy. Hindi ko lang masalita noon out of respect or I do not want a rift with America. But they have to go,” Duterte said.
“Mas lalong iinit. Makakita ng Amerikano ‘yan, patayin talaga iyan. Kukunan ng ransom iyan, patayin. Even if you’re a black or a white American, basta Amerikano ka,” added Duterte, referring to Abu Sayyaf bandits.
Duterte last week told of the incident where he presented pictures of Moros killed during the “pacification efforts” of the US in front of foreign leaders at the East Asia Summit last week.
He said he had done it to clarify the issue of human rights being tackled at the summit.
According to Duterte, he waited for US President Barack Obama to respond, but the latter did not.
The two were reported to have only met “briefly” during the ASEN-East Asia summits.
