Duterte threatens to open doors to foreign telcos

QUEZON City, Philippines – Incoming President Rodrigo Duterte threatened to open the doors to foreign telecommunication companies if their local counterparts do not provide better and cheaper internet services.

Duterte said that creating competition will force the local telcos to improve their services and to lower their charges.
