(Eagle News) — President Rodrigo Duterte and Chinese President Xi Jinping are slated to hold a bilateral meeting when he visits China.
According to Foreign Affairs Undersecretary for International Economic Affairs Manuel Antonio Teehankee, the meeting is slated on April 10.
The President is slated to leave for China to attend the Boao Forum for Asia in Hainan province on April 9.
“At the bilateral meeting, this may come up as well,” Teehankee said when asked if the South China Sea issue would be discussed.
After China, the President will proceed to Hong Kong to meet the Filipino community there.
He will then attend the 32nd Leaders Summit of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) from April 25 to 28 in Singapore.
