Economic integration may face uncertainty pending resolution of ASEAN members’ problems

QUEZON CITY, Philippines (Eagle News) — Members of the Association of Southeast Nations were urged to prioritize resolving problematic issues faced by the region during the 31st ASEAN Summit.

Economic experts say that if the regional issues were not solved, the ASEAN economic integration may not be achieved.

These issues include those on investment, infrastructure, communication and information technology, as well as terrorist threats.
