QUEZON City, Philippines, August 18 (Eagle News) — The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) warned that the El Niño may last until June 2016 after it was discovered that the heat temperature of the sea was recorded at three degrees Celsius compared to 2.3 degree Celsius when the El Niño hit the Philippines in 1997-1998.
PAGASA added that the Philippines will experience below-peak rainfall especially during the peak of the El Niño in the months of October until December.
