(Eagle News) — Magdalo party-list Representative Gary Alejano appealed to his fellow congressmen to prioritize the creation of an Emergency Management Agency as outlined by President Rodrigo Duterte himself in his second State of the Nation Address (SONA).
He said this should be among the priority bills in Congress.
The proposed emergency management agency will be under the Office of the President and will be responsible for disaster mitigation and preparedness measures as well as quick response.
