MANILA, Philippines – The Energy Regulatory Commission stated that it finds the power rate hike implemented by Meralco this February to high and may order a refund if it finds the defense of Meralco untenable. Earlier, Meralco stated that it implemented a power rate hike due to the increase in the price of electricity of the contractors.
