(Eagle News)–Senator Francis Escudero believes President Rodrigo Duterte will be candid about his state of health.
According to Escudero, it was, after all, Duterte himself who disclosed what medical tests he underwent “the denials of his spokespersons notwithstanding.”
“I think he will be equally candid with respect to the “findings,” if any, and his spokespersons should take the cue from their boss with respect to this issue and not second guess him as regards his candidness and honesty with respect to this and other matters,” Escudero said.
He noted that the what the President mentioned were medical tests that are “diagnostic” in nature and are not “findings.
He said it is these findings that the Constitution requires to be disclosed.
Duterte said he underwent tests at the Cardinal Santos Medical Center on Wednesday.
Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said the tests were a followup to another series of tests he underwent to determine whether there was indeed a growth in his digestive tract.
