(Eagle News) — The Inter-agency Intellectual Property Task led by the National Committee on Intellectual Property Rights (NCIPR) and the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL), destroyed an estimated value of Php 6.7 billion counterfeit goods.
The counterfeit goods that were confiscated were destroyed by an armored personnel carrier (APC) at the Camp Crame police headquarters in Quezon City on Thursday, June 28.
Among the counterfeit products that were destroyed by authorities were fake branded bags, cigarette making machines, pirated disc and other products.
The IPOPHL said that the counterfeit goods that were destroyed were seized during their January to May 2018 enforcement operations.
