Every week, one journalist is killed, according to UNESCO

MAY 6 — Based on the latest statistics released by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), one journalist is killed every week around the world.

UNESCO added that 593 journalists have been killed worldwide from 2006-2013, with only 6.4% being resolved. (Paris, France)
