Face-to-face classes suspended in some areas on Thursday, May 2

(Eagle News)–Face-to-face classes on Thursday, May 2, were suspended in some areas due to expected extreme heat conditions.

The schools in the following areas are set to implement asynchronous classes or alternative learning modalities instead:

  • Angeles City – all levels, public and private
  • Caloocan – kinder to senior high school, public schools
  • General Emilio Aguinaldo, Cavite – elementary and secondary, public and private schools
  • Imus, Cavite – all levels, public and private schools
  • Malabon City – public schools
  • Manila – elementary and high school, public schools
  • Muntinlupa – kinder to Grade 12, public schools
  • Navotas City – all levels, public and private schools
  • Pasay – all levels, public and private schools
  • Quezon City – face-to-face classes in public schools get automatically suspended when heat index reaches 40°; heat index is expected to reach 40°
