MANILA, Nov. 13 — Except for Southern Mindanao most parts of the country will continue to experience fair weather, according to Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.

In its advisory, PAGASA said Southern Mindanao will experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rains due to an Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) affecting the area.

Light to moderate rains are expected in the regions of Davao and SOCCSKSARGEN and the province of Surigao Del Sur because of the ITCZ, which is considered as breeding ground for low pressure areas.

The rest of the country, including Metro Manila, will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with possible isolated rains because of localized thunderstorms.

PAGASA weather forecaster Manny Mendoza said the country will continue to be storm free within the next two days or until weekend.

He said the agency is not anticipating any cyclone to affect the country until weekend.

However, he said PAGASA is still expecting one to two tropical cyclones to affect the country for the month of November.

The next tropical cyclones will be named “Marilyn” and “Nonoy”, the 13th and 14th tropical cyclones to affect the country this year.

It added moderate to occasionally strong winds blowing from the northeast will prevail over Northern Luzon and its coastal waters will be moderate to occasionally rough. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the east to northeast with slight to moderate seas. (PNA/JBP/CLTC/EDS)
