QUEZON City, Philippines, July 10 (PIA) — Typhoon Falcon (Chan-Hom) exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) early Friday morning, but state weather agency Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) warned more rain is still expected in the coming days as the enhanced Southwest Monsoon will continue to prevail.
In its 5:00 a.m. bulletin, PAGASA said the Southwest Monsoon is affecting Luzon and Western Visayas.
Monsoon rains that may trigger flash floods and landslides may be experienced over Metro Manila, Ilocos, Cordillera, Central Luzon, Calabarzon and Mimaropa.
Occasional rain may be expected over Western and Central Visayas and the rest of Luzon.
Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated thunderstorms will prevail over the rest of the country.
