MANILA, March 8 (PIA) – Nowadays, almost all products can be bought online – from cars to gadgets, food, and even health products, thus the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issues tips on how to buy health products online.
To make it more easier to remember the tips, the FDA issued ABCDE guideline in buying health products via the internet.
First, Access the website. FDA reminds the public to buy only FDA-registered and notified health products.
Be informed. Consumers are advised to do a research first before buying a certain product.
Third, Check the label. It is a must to carefully read the product label before purchasing it.
In case of adverse events, FDA advises to Discontinue the health product. Consumers are advised to discontinue use if product has caused any reaction and seek advice of a healthcare professional.
Lastly, E-Report to FDA any adverse reaction of the product or products bought online.
