First Day at EBC: From Live Coverage to Social Media

On May 10, I woke up early morning and drove along Quezon Avenue. The road was so clear without traffic, a scene not so typical here in Metro Manila. The previous day was May 9, election day. I arrived at Eagle Broadcasting Corporation safely. The energy was high around the atrium and the computers were up as well as the banners #DesisyonNgBayan2016.
I got caught off guard; I did not realize, I was going to do Facebook Live on my first day at EBC. What a nerve wracking experience indeed. The official Net 25 Facebook page was so busy from greetings around the globe to news room tour. Throughout the day, volunteers watched voters from different precincts to studio coverage.
A young on-the-job training said, “My real president is the one who can protect the citizens no matter what the status in the society”. In addition, her experience here at EBC will open doors for opportunity in the coming years.
