(Eagle News)–The policeman who got splashed with taho by a woman who was not allowed to enter a Metro Rail Transit station with the drink because of an ongoing MRT ban on the same was honored on Monday, Feb .11.
P01 William Cristobal received a Medalya ng Papuri from the Philippine National Police for his patience in dealing with Jiale Zhang, who is now facing charges over the incident at the Boni station on Saturday, Feb. 9.
PNP Chief Oscar Albayalde attended the ceremony held in Camp Crame.
Cristobal thanked the PNP for giving him the recognition, but noted that he was merely doing his job.
The MRT has been implementing a ban on the consumption of food and drinks in its stations.
It also implemented a ban on selected liquids following the twin blasts in Jolo, Sulu that killed at least 23.
