QUEZON City, Philippines (Eagle News) — Australian journalist Adam Harvey of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation underwent a one-hour surgery for the extraction of a bullet slug that hit his neck near the capitol building of Lanao del Sur.
Harvey, through his twitter account, said that the operation was successful.
He said that the bullet that was removed from his neck came from an M-16 rifle.
Because of the incident, strict measures were implemented for journalists and media personnel covering the Marawi crisis.
