Authorities on Monday, June 18, arrested a former member of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front and his uncle after they sold P50,000 worth of shabu to a police poseur-buyer in Quezon City, the police said on Tuesday, June 19.
The suspects were identified as Kasle Manap alias Castro from Cotabato, and his uncle Ibrahim Usman.
According to Quezon City Police District director Chief Supt. Joselito Esquivel, the two sold the shabu to the police poseur-buyer in front of a grocery store on Luzon Ave. around 5 p.m.
Recovered from the suspects were 25 grams of shabu worth P120,000 and the buy-bust money.
Also recovered from Manap were several identification cards including his training ID when he underwent a basic weapons training with the MILF.
According to Esquivel, they had been monitoring the suspects, who are believed to be shabu suppliers operating in Barangays Culiat and Old Balara.
Usman, the police said, also had a standing warrant of arrest over drug-related charges filed in Cotabato City in 2016.
Separate drug-related charges are slated to be filed against Usman and Manap.
