Former National Security Adviser Roilo Golez has passed away.
In a statement, House Majority Leader Rodolfo Fariñas, quoting House Minority Leader Danilo Suarez, said Golez died due to a heart attack.
ANC said he was supposed to give an interview over its television program, but felt unwell and was rushed to the hospital.
Golez was 71 years old.
He served as former president Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo’s security adviser from 2001 to 2004.
