Is sentenced to six to eight years in jail
(Eagle News) — The Sandiganbayan has found former Optical Media Board chair Ronnie Ricketts guilty of graft.
The anti-graft court sentenced the former actor to six to eight years imprisonment after ruling he gave undue advantage to to Sky High Marketing Corporation when he ordered its pirated compact discs released a day after his men confiscated them without filing charges in 2010.
Ricketts can also no longer hold public office, the anti-graft court said.
Also convicted of the same charges was former Enforcement and Inspection Division computer operator Glenn Perez.
Investigation agent Joseph Arnaldo and then-EID chief Manuel Mangubat were acquitted.
