QUEZON City, Philippines – Former president Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III believes that his testimony in the Senate hearing regarding Dengvaxia is already sufficient and that he would not be attending further hearings on the matter.
“I think I clarified it, especially to everybody who listened to it and to those listening to it that have an open mind. If there were people who were listening to it who have closed minds, I cannot change their positions,” Aquino said.
The former President also said that he will just ask the House of Representatives to send him a list of questions, if the House is interested in getting his comments regarding the issue.
“Personally ah, of course nung araw, mayroon akong hearing na ako nag-iinitiate, miyembro ako ng Kongreso noon, sa Senate, baka naman gusto nila ipadala na nila lahat ng tanong at masagot natin…para mahaba na ang panahon na pag-aaralan,” Aquino said in a press conference on Thursday.
Baka mas (It may be more) productive ‘yon for all parties concerned,” he added.
The House of Representatives is conducting its separate investigation regarding the Dengvaxia issue.
