QUEZON City, Philippines – The Abu Sayyaf Group freed its Filipina hostage Marites Flor – one of the four hostages abducted by the group in Samal Island, Davao – through the efforts of incoming Presidential Peace Advisor Jess Dureza. Incoming President Rodrigo Duterte is the one who presented Flor to the media. Also in the media presentation, Duterte said that he will confront the Abu Sayyaf, adding that the group’s kidnappings give the Philippines a bad name.
