Get the chance to study in your dream school whether in or outside the Philippines and gain further experience when you apply for this year’s International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Prize awarded by the British Council.
The IELTS Prize is granted to students who are planning to attend an undergraduate or postgraduate program locally or overseas. The IELTS has two awards for this year – the Local Prize and the Grand Prize. For the Local Prize, five students who took the test in the Philippines will be selected to each receive a prize worth P140,000. The money will go directly to the students’ choice of university to cover their tuition fees.
The Grand Prize, on the other hand, will be given to five students who have the highest scores in East Asia; this covers Hong Kong/Macau, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam. They will each receive a prize worth £12,000.
Eligible students for the IELTS Prize must be permanent residents of the Philippines, will attend a higher educational institution that accepts IELTS as part of its admission requirements, must have a valid IELTS score obtained on or before 1 June 2014, and have an acceptance letter from the institution they will be attending by 30 June 2015.
All applications must be with the British Council by 6.00 pm on 31 May 2015. For more information, visit www.britishcouncil.ph/exam/ielts/prize or e-mail the British Council at: [email protected]
