(Eagle News) — Lawyer Larry Gadon on Monday filed graft charges against several Supreme Court officials mentioned in impeachment proceedings against Maria Lourdes Sereno.
Charged in two separate complaints before the Department of Justice were Ma. Lourdes Oliveros, Michael Ocampo, and Helen Perez-Macasaet of the Bids and Awards Committee, and Anna-Li Papa-Gombio and Jocelyn Fabian of the Technical Working Group.
According to Gadon, Oliveros, Ocampo and Perez-Macasaet played a role in the IT services procurement that allegedly did not undergo the bidding process
Papa-Gombio and Fabian, he said, also played a role in the delay in the approval and release of survivorship benefits.
The filing of the complaints come weeks after Gadon threatened to file the same if Sereno did not resign by March 1.
Sereno, who is facing an impeachment complaint and a quo warranto petition, has repeatedly refused to resign, saying she would finish the fight “until the logical end.” Moira Encina, Eagle News Service
