An evening of classical German music played by a maestro.
Dr. Raul Sunico, CCP President and multi-awarded pianist, deftly rendered the masterpieces from the Great German composers: Schumann’s “Fantasiestücke, op. 12”, Albeniz’s “Suite Iberia”, Wagner/Liszt’s “Liebestod” from Tristan and Isolde, as well as pieces by Filipino composers: “Nocturne in C-sharp minor” by Nicanor Abelardo and “Malikmata” by Antonio Molina.
Music knows no borders and this truly resonated in Dr. Sunico’s performance–a continuing testament of the pool of masters and their magnum opuses, which transcend time and place.
