(Eagle News) — Gilas Pilipinas throttled to victory in their second game in the Jones Cup tournament on Friday, after losing to the Canadians a day before.
Kiefer Ravena, Matthew Wright and Christian Standhardinger led the national contingent’s offensive against Chinese Taipei, who until then had had no loss in the tournament.
The white shirts led Chinese Taipei at the end of all three quarters, but not without their worthy opponents putting up a fight.
The final score was 88-72.
Gilas–who has yet to decide on whether to allow Ray Parks to play after he appeared to have sprained an ankle early in the fourth quarter– is set to face another Chinese Taipei team tomorrow, Monday, July 17.
