(Eagle News)– A 44-year-old avid fan of Barangay Ginebra San Miguel died due to a heart attack after his rooted team won the Governor’s Cup title last week.
The fan, identified as a certain Christopher Gallardo of Meycauayan City, Bulacan.
His family said that Christopher felt extreme happiness when the team emerged victorious in its match against Meralco Bolts in Game 6 of the cup.
The family was hoping Ginebra players would visit Gallardo’s wake.
Barangay Ginebra sealed the cup with a buzzer-beating three-pointer from import Justin Brownlee, ending its eight-year title drought.
