Cubao, Quezon City – Barangay Ginebra draws energy from Robert Jaworski’s presence as they scored their first victory in the 2017 PBA Governors Cup Semi-Finals, 125-101, to live another day in their best-of-five series.
Justin Brownlee delivered with 31 points, eleven rebounds, four blocks and three steals while Scottie Thompson had 17 points, five rebounds, and four assists. Another notable performance came from Japeth Aguilar had 15 points and three blocks.
TnT played without an import in the second half as Joshua Smith leaves the court with an unknown concern from his shoes.
KaTropa had their scoring punch from RR Garcia who had 16 points while Mo Tautuaa had 15.
Ginebra led as much as 32 points in the fourth quarter as they started to coast to victory when Smith left the court.
Smith played only 10 minutes and he was able to provide with 4 points, and seven rebounds before leaving the playing court.
Ginebra plays TnT once again on Saturday, June 16 at the Cuneta Astrodome in Pasay City.
