(Eagle News) –Celebrities Gladys Reyes and Christopher Roxas renewed their wedding vows as they celebrated their 25 years as a couple and their 14th year as husband and wife at the Iglesia Ni Cristo house of worship in Tagaytay City on Tuesday, January 23.
Reception followed at Fernwood Garden in Tagaytay which was well-attended by family, relatives and friends, including celebrities who have expressed admiration for the couple’s love and faith in God through the years that they’ve been together.
Also spotted in the event was her “Mara Clara” co-star Judy Ann Santos. The actress also posted in her Instagram post using the hashtag #relationshipgoals to describe how she adored the couple.
“Eto talaga e.. etong dalawang to talaga ang #relationshipgoals ! Congratulations clara at eris.. saksi ako sa matinding pagmamahalan nyo mula pa ng mga paslit tayo, hanggang ngayon na may kanya kanya na tayong mga paslit.. kayo ang katunayan na totoo ang salitang “first love” .. ❤️❤️ mahal na mahal namin kayo. Cheers to #25yearsoftogetherness and to 25 more years!,” she said in her post.
Santos, Martin Nievera, and Carmi Martin were among the couple’s celebrity friends who attended the wedding ceremony.
Looking back, the couple’s love story started on the set of “Mara Clara” way back 1993.
The preparations for the renewal of vows event reportedly started in May 2017.
The actress said that they wanted to renew their vows together with their children.
“Eleven years kaming mag-boyfriend, ‘tapos next year bale 14 years na kaming kasal.” Reyes said. “Para maiba lang, sabi namin, magpakasal kami uli para kasama na namin ang mga anak namin,” she said last year in an interview.
The two now have four children: Christophe, Aquisha, Grant, and Gavin Cale.
Spotted at the reception were known celebrity friends of the couple including Jaya, who was with her family, Patricia Javier, Regine Velasquez, Sherilyn Tan with her son, Claudine Barreto, Martin Nievera, Manay Lolit Solis, Jolina Magdangal-Escueta with her husband and son, among others
The couple first tied the knot on January 23, 2004, at the Iglesia Ni Cristo Central Temple in Quezon City.
Reyes and Roxas are known active members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo.
