WASHINGTON DC, United States (Eagle News) — Grey skies and the constant downpour were nothing compared to the fervor of the Church of Christ Washington D.C. congregation exhibited Saturday evening during the religious organization’s worldwide evangelical mission.
Clarity of the gospel preached by the church’s Executive Minister Brother Eduardo V. Manalo inspired attendees.
“The message was excellent,” visitor Eduardo Velasquez expresses, “it was very clear!”
Inspiration for D.C. members and enlightenment of their guests were contagious although thousands of miles away from the Philippine Arena, the host site of this grand event.
Jerome Geronimo had to skip work so he can sing in the choir.
“Choosing faith over my job is so much worth it,” he says.
This decision actually cost him his job but earned him more confidence in what he believes.
“I feel lighter and more enlightened,” Jerome adds.
This global event to share the message happened a week after the religious organization launched a worldwide blood donation and bone marrow registration drive.
Children’s Hospital nurse Perryn Miller was invited by Ricardo Cabral, a blood donor from the Washington DC congregation.
“I learned a lot about you, how you are connected all around the world,” Miller says in astonishment. He adds, “you share your faith and hope with everyone so I have decided to come back to your services.”
This religious event in the nation’s capital ended with a social and Bible Study sign-ups as guests expressed interest in joining this congregation in future gatherings.
