(Eagle News)–Senator Richard Gordon on Wednesday, Sept. 26, denied President Rodrigo Duterte’s claim the magnetic lifters found in Cavite did not contain P6.8 billion worth of shabu.
“Hindi ako naniniwala na walang drugs [doon]. You can tell the President I said so,” Gordon told reporters.
According to Gordon, he believes Customs commissioner Isidro Lapeña believes the same thing, but he “needs to follow the President’s line.”
In August, the President said the four magnetic lifters found empty in a warehouse did not use to contain shabu as claimed by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.
Duterte made the remark after Lapeña said the lifters tested negative for illegal drugs.
