(Eagle News)–Grab Philippines on Wednesday, Aug. 8, expressed its condolences to one of its partner-drivers who was found lifeless–with 12 gunshot wounds— in the vehicle in Parañaque City.
According to Grab, it will “continuously cooperate with the authorities to give justice” to the family of Ananias Antigua, who was found on July 31 in Barangay Galo.
“We respect the privacy of the family and they are assured that Grab will extend the support they need in this time of grief,” Grab said.
According to Grab, it was also “continuously doing tech enhancements to ensure the safety of both drivers and passengers.”
For instance, it said a button for seeking help has been placed in their units.
“In times of distress, this button will directly connect passengers and drivers to Philippine National Police’s 911 and other emergency hotlines, as well as notify emergency contacts,” Grab said.
“We strongly condemn any act that puts our driver-partners and passengers at risk,” it added.
