According to reports, Steven Harvey signed a three-year contract to host the Miss Universe even before this year’s pageant. Harvey’s first stint as a host was controversial, following his mistaken announcement of declaring Miss Colombia as Miss Universe before admitting his mistake and announcing Miss Philippines as the real Miss Universe 2015.
