Heavy rains cause flooding in Catubig, Northern Samar

(Eagle News) — Heavy rains brought by tropical depression “Samuel” caused a knee-deep flooding in several towns in Catubig, Northern Samar on Tuesday afternoon.

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration on its advisory forecasted at 3:00 PM today, the center of Tropical Depression “Samuel” was estimated based on all available data at 260 km East of Maasin, Southern Leyte (10.4 N, 127.2 E) with maximum sustained winds of 55 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 65 km/h.
