GLASTONBURY, SOMERSET, England (Reuters) — Hollywood star Johnny Depp got cheers from the crowd at Glastonbury on Thursday (June 22) night as the actor helped launch cineramageddon – a new outdoor cinema section of the music festival.
Depp sat smoking on a vintage car as photographers and fans took pictures of him.
Making his first appearance at Glastonbury, Depp chatted to the crowd ahead of a screening of ‘The Libertine’ at the new movie festival which has been curated by director Julien Temple.
Glastonbury opened its doors on Wednesday (June 21) – but their music programme doesn’t start until Friday.
For those fans who got to the Somerset based festival early, Depp was a much appreciated treat.
