MANILA, Philippines – Several government officials are united in saying that the recently-held Asia Pacific Cooperation Summit summit in the Philippines is very successful, with the national organizing committee saying that this is the proof that the Philippines is capable of hosting international events. This, despite the fact that the summit was held a few days after the notorious terrorist attack in Paris, France. Presidential Communications Secretary Sonny Coloma, on the other hand, stated that the government is ready to set a dialogue for those who were inconvenienced by the APEC summit. The Philippines set aside a budget of Php 9.95 billion but the government said that this is small compared to the benefits that the country will reap because of the said summit.
