Iglesia Ni Cristo holds Aid to Humanity in India, helps thousands of poor families

(Eagle News) – The Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) held a series of Aid to Humanity activities in India which started on Friday, Sept. 27, 2019 in Andhra Pradesh.

Government officials from India were among the thousands who gathered at the open field of the Andhra University in Visakhapatnam City where the INC conducted the first stop of its Aid to Humanity tour in India on Friday.

The INC Aid to Humanity series of activities in India was dubbed by the Mumbai-based “Wonder Book of Records organization” as the “Biggest Charity Event for the Needy in India.”

Among those who thanked and gave acknowledgment for the INC’s help was Dronamraju Srinivasa Rao, Chairman of Visakhapatnam Metropolitan Region Development Authority (VMRDA).

He also thanked INC’s humanitarian arm, the Felix Y. Manalo Foundation for the Church’s Aid to Humanity tour in India, and for “helping poor families” in his country.

Some 15,000 “goodwill bags” of food and goods were distributed by the INC volunteers on Friday.

Aside from this, the INC, through the Felix Y. Manalo Foundation, also distributed financial assistance to five Indian organizations that day.

Checks, each amounting to 10,000 Rupees in financial aid, were given to the Sreya Foundation, the Gracious Just Services Trust, M. Isaac Christ Church, Care and Love Foundation, and New Compassion For India.

“On behalf of our beloved Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, we thank you all for the warm reception,” said INC General Auditor minister Glicerio Santos Jr.

“And at the same time, we want you to know that this Aid to Humanity being done by the Iglesia Ni Cristo is not only in India. This is done all over the world,” he said in an interview with members of the media who covered the event in India.

“So for us, we’re inviting all of you to study the doctrines of the Iglesia Ni Cristo,” he added.

On Saturday, Sept. 28, another Aid to Humanity event is scheduled to be held in Vizianagaram City, while another one is scheduled on Sunday, September 29.

The INC recently finished its Aid to Humanity tour in Canada and the United States, helping thousands of poor families there.

On Sept. 7, 2019, on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of Brother Eduardo as Executive Minister of the Church, the INC also held a “Grand Baptism” where thousands of people who received the biblical doctrines of the INC were baptized into the Church, among them were Indian nationals and other citizens of various nationalities.

For this event, the INC also set the Guinness World Record for “the most number of people baptized” at 18, 272.

Under the guidance of INC Executive Minister, the Iglesia Ni Cristo continues to hold Aid to Humanity events as part of the Church’s fulfillment of God’s teachings written in the Bible to help those in need wherever they may be.

The INC is now spread in 152 countries and continues to grow. It has been regularly conducting Aid to Humanity events all over the world.
