MANILA, Philippines (ENS, August 27) – Despite staggered rainfall, Iglesia Ni Cristo members continue to flock at the entrance of the Department of Justice on Padre Faura St., Ermita, Manila. They are staging a vigil that aims to appeal to the said department to stop meddling into the Church’s internal affairs. The assembly was peaceful. Some members are providing food, drinks and even umbrellas to the demonstrators. Organizers said that the vigil will continue overnight and there are plans to extend the said event until the weekend.
Umbrellas of same colors and design, showing unity and solidarity among members of Iglesia Ni Cristo, were given after rain has fallen in the area where the members are conducting their peaceful rally.
