The local government officials of Camarines Norte were in awe and happy with the self-sustainable community, build by the Iglesia Ni Cristo for the indigenous people of Kabihug.
For them, it was incredible that such a community could arise amidst this mountainous land in paracale.
Aside from concrete houses that stand ready for occupancy, there’s eco-farming site, a garment factory, plus a fish-drying plant to provide jobs for the residents.
Camarines 1st district Cong. Cathy Reyes expressed gratitude for such a project, even admitting that though the government has allocated funds for them, it never thought of putting up a project such as this for the indigenous people of Kabihug.
Cathy Barcelona Reyes said.
Words are not enough para magpasalamat sa mga Iglesia Ni Cristo,” the congresswoman added. (Eagle News Service)
