Immigration bribe scandal shows employees who may face charges – Gordon

QUEZON City, Philippines (Eagle News) – Senator Richard Gordon said that the Senate Blue Ribbon committee hearing into the alleged bribery scandal in the Bureau of Immigration had produced many revelations, which may lead to other immigration employees to be filed cases in connection to it.

During the hearing, Gordon said that it was clear that former BI Deputy Commissioners Al Argosino and Mike Flores had accepted money from the Macau-based gaming tycoon Jack Lam in connection to the release of undocumented Chinese workers at his casino hotel in Pampanga.

Gordon said that individuals who were involved in the bribe scandal may face charges of bribery, indirect bribery, dereliction of duty, corruption of officer and others.
