(Eagle News)–In this picture provided by Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque is seen attending the Cabinet meeting on Monday, Oct. 8, despite being on leave.
Roque was reportedly planning to seek an audience with President Rodrigo Duterte.
Earlier, Roque said he would think about whether to stay as presidential spokesperson after he was left in the dark about President Duterte going to Cardinal Santos Medical Center to undergo medical tests, as admitted by Duterte himself.
Roque had told the media the chief executive had only taken the day off at Bahay Pangarap.
Roque is rumored to be running for a Senate seat in 2019 but Duterte urged him not to, and offered him a government post instead, saying he would not win.
Roque said he would consider Duterte’s offer, but added the post does not exist yet.
