(Eagle News) – The Civil Aviation Aviation Authority of the Philippines are still investigating the plane crash that happened in Plaridel, Bulacan that killed 10 people.
CAAP spokesperson Eric Apolonio said they are still awaiting reports of their investigators who went to the crash site in Barangay Lumang Bayan, Plaridel Bulacan.
Two of the teams from the Aircraft Accident Investigation Board and the Flight Standard Inspectorate Service of CAAP are still gathering evidences from the crash site.
Ten people were killed in the incident, including the five passengers of the light craft, Piper 23 Apache, and the five people in the house where the plane crash landed.
Bulacan police provincial director Sr. Supt. Romeo Caramat Jr. said the fatalities on board the plane were the plane’s pilot Capt. Ruel Meloria, its chief mechanic, Romeo Huenda, and passengers Elisha Necesario, Ma. Vena Palunan, and Melvin Melgar.
The occupants of the house in Bgy. Lumang Bayan, Plaridel Bulacan which the plane hit were a grandmother Luisa Santos, 80; Rissa dela Rosa and her three children, 17-year-old John dela Rosa, 11-year-old Timothy dela Rosa, and seven-year-old Trisa dela Rosa.
They were reportedly having their lunch when the plane hit their home at 11:21 a.m. Saturday, March 17.
The twin-engine light aircraft with registry number RP-C299 crashed shortly after takeoff from Plaridel Airport in Bulacan.
The plane, operated by Lite Air Express, was supposed to go to Laoag Airport.
