(Eagle News) — A sudden heavy downpour that occurred at around 2 in the afternoon on Friday, April 12, 2019 flooded a portion of Mindanao Avenue going to Valenzuela City with knee-deep waters that only trucks and large vehicles could pass through.
At the time that Eagle News Service correspondent Eric Jabonero took the photo at 2:15 p.m., a motorcycle was stuck in the flood water, after it stalled because of the knee-deep water.
The floods due to heavy rainshowers also affected Quezon City and Caloocan, and parts of Pampanga, Cavite, Nueva Ecija, Bulacan and Rizal, according to a PAGASA thunderstorm advisory.
Many welcomed the sudden rains after rising temperatures the past few days that had caused concern because of decreasing water levels in the various dams in the country.
