(Eagle News) — The Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) bagged its second Guinness world record for the day, with the declaration that it had achieved the “largest picture formed by people” or the largest human mosaic on Sunday, May 6.

Guinness adjudicator Lucia Sinigagliesi announced that the Iglesia Ni Cristo’s attempt that formed the largest picture was formed by 9,000 INC members

The image was the Church’s green, white and red flag with the biblical golden menorah in the middle.

“The largest picture mosaic formed by people is an impressive 9.000 people. Congratulations! You are now officially amazing,” announced Sinigagliesi amid shouts and loud cheers from the audience as the new world record was handed to INC officials.

The INC beat the previous record held by the Abeer Medical Group (Saudi Arabia), in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on 14 November 2017 for the largest picture mosaic formed by people. Their human picture mosaic consisted of 4,500 participants to celebrate the world diabetes day.

Earlier in the day, the INC also took the world record for the “largest human sentence”

The INC’s 23,235 participants formed the sentence “PROUD TO BE A MEMBER OF IGLESIA NI CRISTO,” beating the 16,550 participants of previous record-holder, the Rotary International District 3000, Rotary Club of Perambalur New Gen, and Roever Group of Educational Institutions.

The Church made five Guinness world record attempts on Sunday, May 6 including the the largest charity walk in a single venue, most nationalities in a charity walk, and the largest charity walk in multiple venues for its historic “Worldwide Walk to Fight Poverty.”

Officials expect the results on these three other attempts to be made later in the day after the counting and confirming of the results from participants not just in the main charity walk site in Roxas Boulevard, Manila, but in more than 300 other sites around the world.
