INC conducts Lingap Sa Mamamayan in Culiat Muslim community

(Eagle News) — On Saturday, January 2, 2016, the Iglesia Ni Cristo conducted its “Lingap sa Mamamayan” in the Culiat Muslim Community in Quezon City.

Through the Felix Y. Manalo Foundation, the INC gave away some 2,000 bags containing four kilos of rice each in the area on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the late INC Executive Minister Eraño G. Manalo.

The INC provided medical services to the Muslim community and served at least 1,997 persons, including check-up, urinalysis, blood sugar check, blood pressure check and provided common medicines.

It also gave free dental sevices to the Muslim community.

INC spokesperson minister Edwil Zabala said that the INC has been doing this outreach activity to this particular Muslim community since 1982.

Zabala said this activity was done to show love and concern of the INC for their fellowmen.

Zabala said that these activities would continue to be done by the INC under the leadership of its present Executive Minister Bro. Eduardo V. Manalo.

Sultan Nur Abubakar Haser, the head of the Culiat Muslim Community, thanked the INC and Executive Minister Bro. Eduardo V. Manalo for always remembering and helping them.

Emerlinda Pulis, 69, a resident in the Muslim compound in Culiat for the past 20 years, thanked the INC for always conducting these activities yearly ever since she can remember.

“Malaking tulong ito sa amin,” she said.

Normala Makabidar, another resident, said the packs of rice would help them, especially now that rice has become expensive.

“Mahal kasi ang bigas ngayon.  Kaya nagpapasalamat kami sa Iglesia Ni Cristo sa pagtulong nilang ito,” she said.  (Eagle News Service)
