(Eagle News)–“Inday” is now outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility, but monsoon rains are expected to persist in several parts of the country.
The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said severe tropical storm “Inday”, which is now 915 kilometers northeast of Basco, Batanes as of 5 a.m., and a low pressure area located 285 kilometers west of Laoag, Ilocos Norte as of 3 a.m., will continue to enhance the southwest monsoon.
Intermittent heavy to moderate monsoon rains are therefore expected over Ilocos, Cordillera Administrative Region, Zambales and Bataan.
Scattered light to moderate with occasional heavy rains are also expected over Metro Manila, Calabarzon and the rest of Luzon until tomorrow, Sunday, July 22.
Sea travel remains risky over the western seaboard of northern and central Luzon due to the southwest monsoon, PAGASA said.
